Meet The Board
Aside from our amazing team of counselors, Arukah has board of women who go above and beyond to see that the vision and goals of Arukah come into fruition. They are behind the scenes, making sure that Arukah continues to serve the community.

Lauren Slade
President/Founder
Lauren Slade has always had a heart for service. From a young age, she found joy in helping others, whether through small acts of kindness or community outreach. That desire to uplift those around her only grew stronger over the years, shaping her into the leader she is today.

She understands the power of community and the role it plays in shaping lives. Lauren had the support of her village, which helped her become the woman she is today. However, she recognizes that not everyone has access to that same level of support. This realization led her to create Arukah, a space where families can heal, grow, and thrive together.

As the Founder and President of Arukah, Lauren is committed to restoring the physical, mental, and financial well-being of families in underserved communities. She believes that true transformation happens when people have access to the right resources, guidance, and a strong support system. Through Arukah, she bridges the gap—ensuring that families receive the care and tools they need to build a better future. She also focuses on forming strategic partnerships to maximize the impact of Arukah’s mission because she believes that we are stronger together.
