About The Founder
During my senior year in college, I found out that I was pregnant. I was scared, and afraid of what people would think of me and did not know how I would be able to afford a child as a new college graduate. I was also in an unhealthy relationship at the time and could not imagine bringing a child into a situation like that, so I decided to have an abortion. This decision changed my life.
I was unaware of the emotional and physical effects that having an abortion would have on me as a woman. I desired to be a mother and the thought of giving up the opportunity brought on feelings of shame and guilt. The fear of what others would think of me crippled me from seeking help, and those that knew what I was going through did not know how to help.

I knew that something had to change. For the next year, I spent time understanding who God is, whom He says I am as His daughter, and searching for the peace, joy, and healing that only God can give. My relationship with God and therapy literally saved my life. Now through our Post Abortion Healing Program, my team and I help women who have experienced having an abortion obtain freedom.

I believe in the importance of the family unit. In society today, many families are struggling to obtain basic needs. Through Arukah Cares it is our mission to bridge the gap. I believe we are better together which is why I focus on partnering with organizations to provide families in our community with supplies for their children. It is my focus to relieve the burden for as many families as possible.
